Hyperrealistic drawings from a child from Nigeria
Karin has been painting since the age of six, and portraits are usually the main subject of his images, although he sometimes goes beyond the chosen direction. “I have already drawn my friends, I draw cartoons and comics, I copy illustrations from textbooks and newspapers,” Olamilekan says about his work.
Each drawing of the young artist is striking in its detail and masterful execution. Karin says she is inspired by everything she sees around her, especially her family. In addition, Karin frequently mentions the Nigerian hyperrealist painter Arinze Stanley and the renaissance artist Michelangelo as her mentors.
The most famous piece created by Olamilekan is called "Daily Bread". It depicts a man eating sweat and tears.
