The Pantone Color Institute has announced its 2022 color of the year. The in-house developed lilac 17-3938 Very Peri is the color. The creators describe it as “a dynamic blue with a vivacious purple-red undertone that combines the faithfulness and constancy of blue with the energy and curiosity of red.”

The mysterious and complex new color Very Peri, according to Pantone head Laurie Pressman, periwinkle reflects the global innovations and transformations that are taking place.

In textiles and decor

Due to the complexity of the shade in living spaces, it is better to use it in moderation. It can be bedding, decorative pillows or curtains.

 

In ceiling decoration

In this case, the shade is more suitable for offices and other commercial premises. Such a ceiling will become a bright detail, but will not distract from the work process, since it is located above eye level.

In interior details

In the shade of periwinkle, stucco moldings and ceiling cornices will look advantageous. You can also add a similar shade to a vase, candlestick and other decorative items.
